Apologies for the long hiatus!

My apologies for the unexplained break from this place...a lot has happened since my last post -which i see was a long time ago.

For starters, i have answered the conundrum that was mentioned in my previous post ("Old loyalties vs new avenues"). I opted for the latter. And that option - rather the process of deciding on that option - has not been an easy one. Taking a sangfroid decision to leave behind a workplace full of emotional attachments is never easy, you see.

But, i have moved on to a new job, in a new place. Bangalore is where my calling is these days. Couldn't wait to get out of Mumbai all the time I was there. Now that I have, a part of me misses Mumbai. Life, I tell you!

The new job is well, what can I say, different. Too early to comment on whether its good or bad, but surely long enough to say that its very different. Being an APAC resource working out of India office is lending credence to the "Na Ghar ka, na ghat ka" dictum! Bangalore is full of these self-service restaurants called "Darshinis"...I think my new job is an experiment in Corporate "Darshini"..Just about everything is self-service..people interaction is minimum - you know people by their e-mail ids rather than their face. What a change from my past!

But, as they say (who, am not sure!), we learn and we grow. Amen!
